Privacy Policy
For the Mega Cup Glory mobile game (iOS & Android).
Effective May 31, 2026 · Last updated May 31, 2026
The short version
- Mega Cup Glory needs no account, email, phone number or password to play.
- It shows no ads and uses no advertising IDs or third-party tracking.
- Your game progress, stats and settings stay on your device.
- The only data that leaves your device is for the optional online leaderboards and friends list: a nickname you choose, a country you pick, and your score.
1. Who we are
Mega Cup Glory is published by Nexus Software Systems L.P. (“Nexus”, “we”, “us”), an independent software studio based in Athens, Greece. We are the data controller for any personal data described in this policy. You can reach us any time at contact@nexussoftdev.com.
This policy explains what information the Mega Cup Glory app handles, why, and the choices and rights you have. It applies worldwide to the iOS and Android versions of the game.
2. Data stored only on your device
By default, Mega Cup Glory is a single-player game and keeps your information locally on your phone or tablet. This includes your match and tournament progress, statistics, unlocked achievements, your chosen difficulty, and audio and gameplay preferences.
This on-device data is not transmitted to us. It is removed if you delete the app or clear its data through your device settings.
3. Data handled for online leaderboards and friends (optional)
Mega Cup Glory includes optional global, country and weekly leaderboards and a friends feature. These work only if you choose to set up a player identity inside the game. If you do, the following information is sent to and stored on our backend so other players can see where you rank:
- A display name you choose. This can be any nickname — you are not asked for, and should not enter, your real name. Names are length-limited and filtered for offensive content.
- A country you select from a list (used for country leaderboards and a flag).
- Your game scores for the relevant boards (for example your best career score and your weekly score).
- A friend code and an anonymous identifier, so friends can find and follow your entry.
To make this possible we sign your app in anonymously with Google Firebase. This creates a random, app-specific identifier that is not linked to your name, email, Google account or any other identity. We never receive your real-world identity through this process.
If you never set up an identity, no profile or score data leaves your device and you will simply not appear on the online boards.
4. What we do NOT collect
Mega Cup Glory does not collect or process:
- your real name, email address, phone number, or postal address;
- your precise or background location;
- your contacts, photos, microphone or camera;
- advertising identifiers (IDFA / Android Advertising ID) — we serve no ads;
- data from third-party analytics, marketing or tracking SDKs.
5. Service providers
Our backend for the optional leaderboards and friends features is Google Firebase — specifically Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in) and Cloud Firestore (storing leaderboard and friend entries). Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. You can read Google’s privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.
The Apple App Store and Google Play distribute the app and may process limited data (such as download and crash information) under their own privacy policies; that processing is outside our control.
6. Why we’re allowed to use this data (legal bases)
For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR: your consent, which you give by choosing to set up an identity and join the online leaderboards (you can withdraw it at any time, see section 8); and our legitimate interest in operating a fair leaderboard and preventing abuse (for example, filtering offensive names and capping impossible scores).
7. International transfers
Firebase may store and process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) put in place by Google.
8. Retention and deletion
On-device data lives until you delete it or uninstall the app. Leaderboard and friends entries are kept while they remain in use so that rankings stay meaningful. You can ask us to delete your leaderboard profile and friend entry at any time by emailing contact@nexussoftdev.com. Because online entries are anonymous, please tell us the exact display name and friend code you used so we can find and remove the right record.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA and UK have these rights under the GDPR; California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Mega Cup Glory is a family-friendly game suitable for a general audience, but it is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the game requires no real identity and the only optional online data is a freely chosen, filtered nickname plus a country and a score, it does not gather personal details from players of any age. If you believe a child has provided us with information you’d like removed, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
Data sent to our backend is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored using Google Firebase’s security infrastructure, with access rules that let a player write only their own entry. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data involved.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, note it within the app or on this page. Continued use of Mega Cup Glory after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact
